Mayank has played two matches for Lucknow Super Giants this season, in which he took 3 wickets for 27 runs against Punjab Kings (PBKS). After that, in the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), he took 3 wickets for just 14 runs. Mayank had bowled the ball at the fastest speed of 156.7 in IPL 2024 against Bengaluru.

During a conversation with Aaj Tak, Mayank Yadav’s mother said, ‘We are very happy that he is doing well and people are talking about him. He is a talented cricketer and people will get to see more performances from him. He had become a vegetarian only 2 years ago because he believes in Lord Krishna a lot. I have full hope that one day he will definitely play for the Indian team.”

His mother made another revelation and said that none of us knew that Mayank was going to debut. At 7 pm on the day of the match against Punjab, we came to know that he is going to debut. Mayank took three wickets in his debut match and then performed brilliantly against RCB.
