Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were last seen playing in the ODI series against Sri Lanka. Now both the players will be seen playing directly in the Test series against Bangladesh, which will start from September 19. At the same time, Jasprit Bumrah is on a long break after the T20 World Cup 2024. He will return directly from the series against New Zealand.

On August 27, the BCCI announced some changes in the teams for the first round of the Duleep Trophy. The board has released Ravindra Jadeja from the squad, the reason for which has not been given.
