Former legendary fast bowler and captain of Pakistan cricket team Wasim Akram has given a big statement and informed that people in Pakistan take tape ball cricket very seriously. This tournament is played as a major tournament in most parts of Pakistan, in which tape is also used along with a tennis ball, due to which the ball rotates on both sides.

Akram also informed that he too played a lot of tape ball cricket in his early days. Akram said that when he was in class 10, his match fee for playing one match used to be Rs. 10.

Wasim Akram gave a big statement

Let us tell you that while talking on Sports Keeda’s ‘Match Ki Baat’ program, Wasim Akram said- When I was young, I played a lot of tape-ball cricket. When I was in 10th class, I used to charge 10 rupees per match. It was a big deal at that time, because I used to get two hundred rupees per month in which I also had to fill petrol in my bike. Then it was four rupees per liter.

Akram said- Tape-ball cricket is a big deal in Pakistan, especially in the cities and there are professionals who earn money through these tournaments. In Pakistan, Taimur, Nadeem charge Rs 25-30 lakh per tournament. They have special techniques to play these tournaments. These tournaments take place in tier 2 cities of Pakistan, where the game is watched in packed houses under lights at night.
