According to India Today, Yash Dayal’s father said, ‘It was like an accident for us. The school bus used to pass by and all the children used to shout Rinku Singh, Rinku Singh, five sixes. It was very painful that why did this happen to my son?’

Chandrapal Dayal further said, ‘I told my son that we will not stop until you play for India. You will definitely play for India. That night I explained to him that this is not the first time this has happened nor the last time.
