Young players have been given a chance on the Zimbabwe tour.
After the end of T20 World Cup 2024, Team India will now go on a tour of Zimbabwe. For this tour, the selectors have given a chance to the young players who performed well in IPL 2024. On this tour, the Indian team will play under the captaincy of Shubman Gill. At the same time, players like Riyan Parag, Abhishek Sharma have been selected in the Indian team for the first time.
Riyan Parag was so excited about playing for Team India that he forgot his passport and mobile phone. Actually, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has shared a video on its social media account, in which Abhishek Sharma and Riyan Parag have shared their experience of traveling with Team India for the first time.
Riyan Parag told about his experience of traveling for the first time with Team India
Riyan Parag said on BCCI TV, ‘It was my childhood dream to travel like this. We do play matches, but the things that come with cricket are travelling with the team, wearing Indian clothes. I was so excited that I forgot my passport and mobile phone, I did not forget them, I just kept them here and there and now I have both with me.’
Ryan further said, ‘There are many new faces, but they are old for me, because we have played a lot together. A small boy from Assam was dreaming of this since childhood, which has come true, so I am very happy. Zimbabwe will always have a special role now, whenever I play my first match on any ground, I will always remember it.’ Let us tell you that Team India has to play five T20 International matches in Zimbabwe between July 6 and July 14.
