The Indian cricket team is going to face Bangladesh in a two-match home Test series very soon. The series will begin with the first Test match on 19 September at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

It is worth noting that Team India has been away from cricket for some time. India was last seen playing a limited over series against Sri Lanka in August. However, now the Indian management is going to organize a camp in Chennai between 13 and 18 September before the series against Bangladesh begins.

So, according to the latest media reports, young spinner Himanshu Singh, who plays for Mumbai in domestic cricket, has been called to Chennai for this camp. The selection committee led by Ajit Agarkar has been very impressed with Himanshu’s bowling, due to which he has been specially called to Chennai for this camp.

Himanshu has similarities with Ashwin

Let us tell you that 21-year-old Himanshu Singh not only looks very similar to Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, but his bowling action is also similar to Ashwin. That is why he has been included in the camp to help India’s batsmen overcome Bangladesh’s spin attack. Earlier, Himanshu Singh was also a part of the ‘Emerging Player’ camp of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in Anantapur and Bengaluru.

He is quite tall (six feet four inches) and his bowling action is similar to Ashwin.
