The first over of Royal Challengers Bangalore’s innings was bowled by Manimaran Siddharth. Siddharth had given only 3 runs in the first over. M. Siddharth proved to be a bit expensive while bowling the second over of the spell. Faf du Plessis hit two fours, and a total of 12 runs were scored in the over. KL Rahul then handed the ball to M. Siddharth in the fifth over.

He definitely hit a four on the first ball of the over, but dismissed Virat Kohli on the very next ball. Virat Kohli wanted to play a big shot, but Devdutt Padikkal, posted at backward point, took a brilliant catch. And M. Siddharth took his first IPL wicket as Virat Kohli took his first wicket.

M Siddharth was bought by LSG in the auction for 2.40 crores.

Lucknow Super Giants bought Manimaran Siddharth for Rs 2.40 crore in the IPL 2024 auction. Siddharth (M Siddharth) has previously been a part of Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals. M. Siddhartha had performed brilliantly for Tamil Nadu in domestic cricket and the Tamil Nadu Premier League.

M. Siddharth made his debut in the T20 format for Tamil Nadu in the 2019-20 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. After which he made his debut in first-class cricket against Karnataka in Ranji Trophy in 2019-20 itself. Siddharth made his debut in the List-A format against Punjab in the 2020-21 Vijay Hazare Trophy.

M. Siddharth has taken 27 wickets in first-class cricket so far in 7 matches at an average of 20.22 and an economy of 2.46. 26 wickets in 17 matches in List-A at an average of 23.26 and economy of 4.09. And in T20 format, he has taken 18 wickets in 7 matches at an average of 6.50 and economy of 4.68.
