Many exciting matches have been seen so far in the 17th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The season has also been a mixed one for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) so far. Mahendra Singh Dhoni handed over the captaincy of the team to Ruturaj Gaikwad before the season and under his captaincy, Chennai has won three out of 5 matches.

This is considered to be the last IPL for Mahendra Singh Dhoni and hence a huge crowd of fans is seen in every match of CSK. Meanwhile, great Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar has talked about Dhoni’s impact, especially in the success of Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

Mumbai and Chennai are my favorite teams- Sunil Gavaskar

Gavaskar even talked about his two favorite IPL teams. Gavaskar said in the IPL on Star show, my two favorite teams are Mumbai and Chennai Super Kings. Mumbai because I am from Mumbai and Chennai because it is none other than MS Dhoni.

Gavaskar said that, this is why we call him Thala. Different teams have different players in IPL. In IPL your focus is to win the trophy and for that you sometimes have to leave out some of the best players, but you cannot make them feel bad and you have to show how important their contribution is. And no one can do it better than MS Dhoni. Hence, he is Thala.

Talking about MI team, after a bad start, it has made a great comeback and has won both its last matches. The Hardik Pandya-led team will face Chennai Super Kings on April 14 at the Wankhede Stadium. Mumbai is in seventh place with two points.
