Now amid the news of Pant joining the auction, former cricketer Aakash Chopra believes that he should go to RCB as captain. He said that most franchises can spend big money for a flamboyant cricketer. If his name comes in the auction, a lot of money will be spent: Aakash Chopra Chopra said on his YouTube channel, it is heard that Rishabh Pant may be available in the auction. But many people say that his figures in T20 are not that good, he has had only one successful season in IPL and apart from that he has not scored much runs either. I can give you in writing that if his name comes in the auction, a huge amount will be spent. He further said that, RCB needs a keeper, a batsman and maybe a captain. Punjab will be in need because they will have no one. Delhi will need it, RTM card will be available. KKR also needs him. What about CSK, they need. If Ishan Kishan is left out, Mumbai will also need him. Let us tell you that the last season was good for Rishabh Pant, who returned after a two-year long injury. He scored 446 runs in 13 innings at a strike rate of 155.40. After this strong performance, he directly joined the Indian team and played in the T20 World Cup 2024.

Even if the team decides to pay Rs 10 crore to another capped player, which is less than his retention value, the amount deducted from his purse will still be Rs 14 crore as per his assigned bracket. How many foreign players can be retained? There has been another rule change before the IPL 2025 mega auction. If any franchise wants, it can retain 6 out of 6 foreign players.
