Due to lack of permission from the Government of India, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has refused to go to Pakistan and take part in the Champions Trophy 2025. Just some time ago, ICC had informed this to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) through an official e-mail.

A lot of speculations and statements have started in the cricket world regarding this decision of BCCI. Reactions are also coming in from former cricketers. On the other hand, now former veteran cricketer of Pakistan cricket team Javed Miandad has given a big statement regarding this matter.

Miandad says that without India, Pakistan cricket will not only survive but also prosper. Also, the 67-year-old former cricketer has termed the Indian government’s decision as a joke.

After India’s decision not to go to Pakistan and take part in the Champions Trophy 2025, Javed Miandad was quoted by India Today as saying – It is a joke that this is happening. Even if we don’t play India at all, Pakistan cricket will not only survive but also prosper as we have shown in the past. I would like to see how the ICC event makes money when there is no match between Pakistan and India.

Champions Trophy schedule delayed after BCCI’s decision

On the other hand, after BCCI did not go to Pakistan to participate in the Champions Trophy, the official schedule of the tournament has not been released yet by BCCI. Earlier, information regarding organizing the matches was to be given through a press conference on November 10, but this has not happened yet.
