The Women’s Asia Cup 2024 is currently being played in Sri Lanka. On July 21, India defeated UAE by 78 runs. However, after the match, the Indian women’s team was seen interacting with the UAE players.

BCCI Women has shared a video on its official social media account in which players from both countries can be seen talking to each other. Indian women’s team captain Harmanpreet Kaur, experienced opener Smriti Mandhana, aggressive batsman Shefali Verma and excellent player Jemimah Rodrigues are seen interacting with the young players of UAE and they also gave them many important advices.

The UAE players also enjoyed meeting the Indian women’s team and the players of both the countries also got photographs taken together. BCCI Women shared this video and wrote in its caption, ‘A wonderful meeting and moment as the Indian women’s team met the UAE players.’

Talking about the Women’s Asia Cup 2024, the Indian team has won both its matches so far. Their performance has been very good in this tournament so far. The Indian women’s team defeated Pakistan in their first match of this tournament on 19 July in which Deepti Sharma took three wickets.

After this, batting first against UAE, India scored 201 runs for the loss of 5 wickets, in response to which the team could score only 123 runs. India now has to play its next match today i.e. on 23 July against Nepal. The Indian women’s cricket team is at the top in the points table of Group A. The team has performed very well in all three departments so far and if the Indian women’s team secures its place in the semi-finals, then it will definitely want to claim it as well.
