A match was played between India Women and UAE Women in the Women’s Asia Cup 2024 today, where Harmanpreet Kaur and company defeated UAE by 78 runs. Batting first, Team India scored a huge score of 201 runs with the help of half-century innings of Harmanpreet Kaur and Richa Ghosh. In response, UAE could score only 123 runs in the stipulated overs.

Richa Ghosh displayed a brilliant batting performance in the match. She scored an unbeaten 64 runs in just 29 balls with the help of 12 fours and a six. Richa also shared an important 75-run partnership for the fifth wicket with captain Harmanpreet Kaur. Due to which India set a target of 202 runs in front of UAE. Harmanpreet Kaur also scored an important 66 runs. Let us tell you that due to the good batting of these two batsmen, the Indian team touched the 200 mark for the first time in the history of women’s T20I.

Richa Ghosh became the player of the match

However, in response, the UAE team could only score 123 runs for 7 wickets in the stipulated overs and lost the match by 78 runs. Richa Ghosh was chosen as the Player of the Match for her explosive batting. With this, Richa Ghosh has become the joint sixth Indian batsman to score the fastest T20I half-century. Apart from batting, Richa also did a stumping and a run out in the match.

Indian bowlers successfully defended the target of 202 runs. Deepti Sharma once again bowled brilliantly. She took two wickets for 23 runs in four overs. Earlier, she had taken three wickets against Pakistan. Apart from Deepti, Renuka, Tanuja, Pooja and Radha Yadav got 1-1 wickets in the match.

With this win, Harmanpreet Kaur and company have registered their second consecutive win in the Women’s Asia Cup 2024. They are at the top of Group A with four points. They will now play their next match against Nepal on July 23.
