WPL 2024, DEL-W vs UP-W: The 15th match of the Women’s Premier League 2024 was played between Delhi Capitals and UP Warriors on 8 March. UP Warriors captain Alyssa Healy won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, UP Warriors put 138 runs on the board at the loss of 8 wickets. Delhi Capitals, chasing the target, were all out for 137 runs in 19.5 overs and UP Warriors registered a thrilling win by 1 run.

The UP Warriors team, which came to bat first against Delhi Capitals, suffered a setback in the very second over. Kiran Navgire had lost the wicket against Titas Sadhu after scoring 5 runs. Alyssa Healy played an inning of 29 runs in 30 balls with the help of 5 fours. Alyssa Healy lost her wicket against Alice Capsey in the 9th over. Deepti Sharma had played a half-century innings against Mumbai Indians in the last match, Deepti was seen maintaining her form against Delhi also.

Deepti Sharma scored 59 runs in 48 balls with the help of 6 fours and 1 six, on the basis of which UP Warriors team was able to put 138 runs on the board. Titas Sadhu and Radha Yadav took maximum 2-2 wickets for Delhi Capitals. Apart from these, Shikha Pandey, Arundhati Reddy, Jess Jonassen and Alice Capsey took 1 wicket each.

Delhi Capitals, who came to chase the target, got their first blow early, Shefali Verma lost her wicket against Saima Thakor after scoring 15 runs in the fourth over. Captain Meg Lanning was once again seen playing a brilliant innings for the team. Meg Lanning played an inning of 60 runs in 46 balls with the help of 12 fours.

Against UP Warriors, Jemimah Rodriguez lost her wicket after scoring 17 runs. Deepti Sharma had increased the team’s hopes of victory by dismissing Annabel Sutherland (6), Arundhati Reddy (0), and Shikha Pandey (4) in the 19th over. 3 wickets came in the last over bowled by Grace Harris and Delhi was able to score 8 runs. Deepti Sharma took maximum 4 wickets in her name. Whereas Saima Thakor and Grace Harris took 2-2 wickets.
