Got inspiration from Sachin Tendulkar’s batting

Asha Sobhana Joy plays domestic cricket for Kerala, and she is an all-rounder player. Asha’s interest in cricket arose when she watched Sachin Tendulkar bat in Sharjah on TV. After which he saw Neetu David bowling in an international match on TV, then he came to know that women also play cricket. Asha visits her school to learn more about cricket (Cotton Hill Girls Higher Secondary School, Thiruvananthapuram) Used to talk to PT teacher.

Asha used to go for district-cricket selection without informing her parents. Asha comes from a middle-class family. Asha’s father was very hesitant about his daughter’s career as an auto driver. Asha is full of talent. Asha made her debut for the Kerala senior women’s team at the age of 14.

He debuted for South Zone at the age of 16 and for Challengers at the age of 19. Shane Warne’s coach Terry Jenner recognized Asha’s talent at the age of 15.
