Women’s Premier League 2024: Delhi Capitals (DC) captain Meg Lanning in the upcoming Women’s Premier League 2024 (WPL 2024) Earlier said that he is extremely excited to see what his team can do on the field this year, as they are aiming to move from runner-up to winner this time.

After her first training session with Delhi Capitals (DC) in Bengaluru, Meg Lanning was quoted by IANS as saying: “It feels good to be here, and running. Everyone looks to be in pretty good shape. “All the players have improved a lot, and I’m very excited to see what we can do this year.”

On her experience in the first season of the WPL, the former Australia captain said: “I really enjoyed being here last year. It was great fun opening the batting with Shafali Verma and I am looking forward to doing it again this year. I think as a team, we had good coordination.

It was a very easygoing group, it was good to hang out on and off the field, we seemed to have no problems together, so it was a lot of fun. I am sure everything will be the same this year also.”

“I don’t like the word retirement”

On her retirement from international cricket, Meg Lanning said, “I don’t like the word retirement, but it has been good to have a bit of quiet, spend time at home and play some cricket here and there. I still love playing, and I am very excited to play in the WPL, and hopefully help Delhi win the title this year.”
