In the 10th match of WPL 2024, Delhi Capitals defeated Gujarat Giants by 25 runs. Chasing the target of 164 runs, Beth Mooney’s team could score only 138 runs. This is Gujarat’s fourth consecutive defeat in this tournament. On the other hand, this is Delhi Capitals’ third win in four matches. With this she has reached the top in the points table.

Chasing the target of 164 runs, Gujarat Giants did not have a good start and opener Laura Wolvaardt returned to the pavilion without opening her account. Earlier, after losing the toss and batting first, Delhi Capitals scored 163 runs at the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Opener Meg Lanning played a captaincy inning of 55 runs, which included 6 fours and a six. Whereas Alice Capsey scored 27 runs in 17 balls. Sutherland had 20 runs in his account. Apart from these, other Delhi batsmen could not do anything special.

Meghna Singh gave the first blow to Delhi by dismissing Shefali Verma (13). After this, Meghna made Alice Capsey her next victim.
