Today, on 6th July, the first T20 match was played between India and Zimbabwe at Harare Sports Club in Harare. In this match, Zimbabwe defeated India by 13 runs and took a 1-0 lead in the five-match T20 series. All the players from the Indian team performed very poorly in this match.

Let us tell you, batting first, host Zimbabwe scored 115 runs in 20 overs losing 9 wickets. Wicketkeeper batsman Clive Madande played a brilliant innings of 29* runs with the help of four fours in 25 balls. He was the highest run scorer for his team. Apart from Clive, Dion Myers scored 23 runs while Brian Bennett contributed 22 runs. Captain Sikandar Raza scored 17 runs.

Ravi Bishnoi bowled very well for India and took four wickets for 13 runs in 4 overs. Zimbabwe’s batsmen were helpless in front of Ravi Bishnoi. Apart from Ravi Bishnoi, Washington Sundar took two wickets for 11 runs in four overs while Mukesh Kumar and Avesh Khan took one wicket each. The bowlers of the Indian team did their job well in this match.

Due to Sikandar Raza’s lethal bowling, Indian team’s batsmen failed to perform well

In this match, captain Sikandar Raza bowled brilliantly for the hosts and took three important wickets for 25 runs in four overs. Sikandar Raza dismissed India’s captain Shubman Gill. Not only this, he also took the wickets of Ravi Bishnoi and Mukesh Kumar. He took all these three wickets at crucial times.

Due to this bowling of Sikandar Raza, he was awarded the Player of the Match award in this match. Captain Shubman Gill scored 31 runs for the Indian team while Washington Sundar scored 27 runs. Avesh Khan contributed 16 runs. Apart from these three players, no other batsman from the Indian team could cross the 10-run mark.
