T20 World Cup 2024: List of players to be submitted to all the teams before May 1, know what else ICC is planning..?


All teams will have to submit their squad lists by May 1, as the tournament will start from June 1.

ICC T20 World Cup 2024 This year it will be played jointly in USA and West Indies. T20 World Cup 2024 will be played from June 1 to June 29. Group stage matches will be played from June 1 to June 18. After which the Super-8 matches will be played from June 19 to June 24. After the Super-8 matches, semi-final matches will be played in Guyana and Trinidad on June 26 and June 27.

After which the final will be played in Barbados on June 29. All teams will have to submit their squad lists by May 1, as the tournament will start from June 1. But let us tell you that this date is temporary, ICC can extend it further till May 25.

Rohit-Kohli will play T20 World Cup 2024

According to media reports, BCCI is going to keep an eye on a total of 30 players in IPL 2024 keeping the T20 World Cup in mind. Only after which the squad for the tournament will be announced. Rohit Sharma will be seen captaining the team. But there is also speculation that Hardik Pandya will replace him.

Speaking to Insidesports, the BCCI official said, ‘We have a fair idea about the team. But definitely IPL will be one. We have to choose the team on the basis of form and not on the basis of past individual performances. Till then everyone is available for selection. It is up to the selectors whether Rohit and Virat will be in the team or not, they are available for selection in T20.

Team India will start its campaign in the T20 World Cup 2024 with a match against Ireland on June 5. The match between India and Pakistan will be played in New York on June 9.

Four teams have been divided for the group stage

All the teams participating in the T20 World Cup 2024 have been divided into four groups of five teams each. in group-a India, Pakistan, Ireland, Canada and America are included. England, Australia, Namibia, Scotland and Oman are in Group B. Whereas host West Indies New Zealand, Afghanistan, Uganda and Papua New Guinea are in Group C. Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, South Africa, Netherlands and Nepal have been placed in Group D.
